What kind of services are you providing?
We provide dance education, wedding preparation, weekly social dance parties, and vintage styled performance services.

How much will it cost me? Average cost of all classes and events is $18. Private lessons are $80 for one or two people. Check out our wedding related prices under the wedding tab and contact us for quotes regarding all event instruction or performance inquiries.

Are there any contracts? No, we do not ever require that you purchase a program of lessons or sign a contract for any purpose. The only paper you will ever be asked to sign is the Safety & Liability Waiver as you enter.

Do I need to sign up in advance? We require you pre-register for any of our classes to attend. You do not need to register for social dances.

I want to learn how to swing dance, where should I start?
The best place to start is in a Tuesday beginner class. Take as many of these as you can! They are our most beginner friendly class and cover a range of material to ensure you have a solid foundation.

Do I need a partner? You do not need a partner for any Victrola classes or events. We like to rotate partners in our classes and encourage asking at our social dances. Any couple is allowed to opt out of routine partner switches. All social dance invites may be met with a ‘yes’ or a ‘no’ reply.

What if I want to learn both dance roles? Great! We encourage all students to learn the nuances of each role. We simply ask that you choose to study one role at a time and talk with an instructor about your goals.

What should I wear? For classes we request that you wear attire that does not restrict your movement. Dancing is active. For our social parties, you are welcome to come as casual or dressed up as you'd like for a night out. We are an all ages facility, so please keep this in mind. Non-marking shoes are necessary for the dance floor. You will have a better experience if you refrain from soles with a lot of tread while you are learning and social dancing!

How many people attend your classes and dance socials?
Our classes average about 6-12 students and are the perfect size to progress your skill with a group of peers. Our dances average 20 people.

Who attends your facility? Individuals from all walks of life attend our classes and events! We at Victrola Dance Hall strive to cultivate an environment that welcomes everyone, regardless of what level or age they’re making a start in social dancing. We are happy to welcome individuals of all ages, genders, races, sexual orientations, lifestyle choices, and dance levels to our classes and events!

Where can I park? You can find parking on the street as well as two parking garages and the white rose lot within the block.
